About Us
Maddocks Insight was founded in September 2011. As a boutique risk consultancy we are in a position to respond flexibly and quickly to your requirements. Our in-house team covers the following languages: English, Chinese, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, and Dutch. We also have access to a large network of associates who can assist in projects on an ad hoc basis.
Max Maddocks (Managing Director) has conducted numerous due diligence investigations, political risk assessments and asset traces, spanning Asia, MENA, Europe, the Americas and Africa. Prior to setting up Maddocks Insight, he worked at Deloitte with the Business Intelligence Services. He holds an MPhil in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. In addition, he has Bachelor degrees in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, and in Psychology. He speaks English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, and Dutch. LinkedIn Profile.
Yuee Zhao (Director - China) has an intricate knowledge of the Greater China region, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. She joined Maddocks Insight after having worked as a Senior Economist at economic consultancy Cambridge Econometrics for four years. In addition to being in charge of all Chinese projects at Maddocks Insight, Yuee also brings her expertise to bear in economic and political risk assessments. She holds an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Economics from the University of York. She speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and German. LinkedIn Profile.
